Bruny landowners are making an impressive contribution to conservation and protection of habitat.

At the beginning of 2009 there was 2,305 hectares protected under various schemes. 25 Land for Wildlife (LFW) properties involving a total of 1.294 ha, 3 Protected Areas on Private Land (PAPL) - 104ha, and 10 Private Forest Reserve properties - 907ha.
