National recovery plan for 40spots out for comment


The Draft National Recovery Plan for the Forty-spotted Pardalote has now been released for public comment. The draft plan can be accessed from the department’s website at: https://www.dcceew.gov.au/environment/biodiversity/threatened/recovery-plans/comment/draft-recovery-plan-forty-spotted-pardalote-2022.

This is an opportunity for you to review and comment on the plan. The public comment period closes 23 December 2022.

If you wish to send in a submission, please email it through to recoveryplans@environment.gov.au. After the public comment period, the department will review all submissions received and incorporate them where appropriate, before seeking endorsement from the Commonwealth Threatened Species Scientific Committee and they will make a recommendation to the Minster for the Environment to make the plan under the EPBC Act (Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act).
