TWBBI has been successful in attracting further funding to implement our recovery actions for the Forty-spotted pardalote and Swift parrot from both the Dept Natural Resources and Environment (NRE) and NRM South.
These two bodies are seeking outcomes for swifties and 40spots respectively.
These funds will enable us to continue to project for at least this year and next, and probably the 2026 season as well.
Already this year – despite the dry conditions – we have been planting on two properties and have developed and installed a novel nest box design for the 40spots.
