Local hero

Year 11 student Alice Evans, as part of her International Baccalaureate Diploma decided to grow seedlings and sell them at our local Lunawanna market last week.

Not only did people walk away with lovingly grown little seedlings, but she raised and donated the proceeds to BIEN.

Alice grew up on Bruny and it forms an integral part of her sense of place and she values efforts to care for it.

She is additionally examining how ecotourism features within the tourism industry on Bruny, including how tourism impacts on the environment.

A local hero – thanks Alice!
