We are now the proud owner of a fabulous new water trailer, care of the Chen family of north Bruny.
Initiated by Simon Allston (of Friends of North Bruny and also on our TWBBI steering committee), the Chens very generously enabled the purchase of trailer, pump, hose and all the fittings to make it work.
Further donations from Salty Jam (Sal and Te – get it?), Tere Moana, Stephen Mount and Julia Corbett got the purchase over the line.
John from the BI Men’s Shed expertly manufactured the pump housing.
This coming year is expected to be very dry and the trailer will be sorely needed for watering newly planted trees and topping up moisture for older trees in our Threatened Woodland Birds (TWBBI) program.
